New Furnace


I purchased a new furnace from sears home improvement and cannot Tell you how many issues the overly aggressive salespeople mislead me on., and it was like pulling teeth to get resolved.,. They swore it would be Sears employee's who install and of course it wasn't., they first installation person was like able but not trained on carrier furnaces, and never should have installed, we then had oil leaking and had to have another contra tor come and fix it., within the space of six months. even with an oil leak it took several weeks to get someone out to repair the faulty installation., we had called for our maintenance agreement cleaning and was sent a rude obnoxious contractor who would not stop calling.,

I had written to sears on several occasions to complain of him and never even got a response. I caution anyone to not buy from Sears home improvement!! the sales team is nice and will make promises, that will not be fulfilled., Buyer beware.

Same problem with installation of a gas furnace in my mobile home in New England! The SUBCONTRACTOR SHOWED UP to install the unit, and discovered he could not complete the job that day because he had measured the flue size incorrectly, had to reorder another flue, and would be back after that. The flue has been ordered (of course it is New Years 2013) and will be 10 degrees outside tonight to boot!) Then I discovered the sub had not turned on my water heater under the unit before he left (he did turn on the gas stove) and now I have no hot water. No one is available according to the phone calls made to Sears (HOLIDAY: no emergency coverage?)
What a horror! Complaint has been filed w/Sears over phone already, more to add to it now)!!!
