Roof replacement - Roof Replacement


We initially signed a contract with Sears to replace our roof. We decided to go with another company after learning about the warranty on the Sears products. We paid a deposit of $5,000. We cancelled with the 72 hour period but Sears had already deposited the check. It is now 3 weeks later and our refund has not been received. I found out the refund was processed on July 13th but no check has been received as of 7/28. Sears should not have deposited the check before the 72 hour cancellation period was over. It was difficult to reach the local sales mgr. to confirm the cancellation and he never responded to my emails and texts as to the status of the refund. I got the answer from the local sales office administrator. I would not recommend doing business with Sears.
